¡Ay, amigo! Fontecamiño… es más que un nombre, es una promesa. Literalmente, sí, "fuente y camino" (y no, no es un cuento de hadas, aunque a veces parece). Es un paraíso turístico en España, en... (¡espera, que tengo que buscar el mapa, la memoria no me da!) … en Galicia, cerca de Lugo. Imagínate: verde, verde y más verde, con vacas que parecen sacadas de un cuadro y un aire que huele a… a... ¡a vida! Es un sitio que te engancha, de verdad. No te esperes la mega-fiesta de Ibiza, esto es otro rollo. Es chill, es natural, es… ¡Fontecamiño!
Vale, me vendiste la moto con el verde y las vacas. ¿Pero qué hay para hacer, aparte de contemplar el paisaje, que eso lo hago en el balcón de mi casa con un buen café?
¡Ja! Tienes razón, lo de contemplar es el plan A. Pero, ¡hay mucho más! Senderismo (ideal para quemar las tapas), rutas a caballo (¡que yo me caí la primera vez, qué vergüenza!), visitas a pueblos con encanto que parecen congelados en el tiempo… Y, atención, que aquí viene lo bueno: la comida. Madre mía, la comida… Recuerdo una cena en un restaurante familiar, ¡qué cosa más rica! Un pulpo a la gallega que me hizo llorar (de alegría, claro). Y el vino… ¡ay, el vino! Lo siento, me pierdo… Pero sí, hay cosas que hacer. Eso sí, olvídate del ritmo frenético de la ciudad. Aquí se va a otro ritmo, ¡uno más relajado! Y si quieres, puedes ir a la playa (está a una hora en coche, ¡ojo!).
¿Y el alojamiento? ¿Hay solo pensiones polvorientas y hoteles con moqueta gastada?
¡NO! (Respirando profundo para no empezar con un monólogo). Aunque sí, hay opciones más… "tradicionales". Pero también, y en mi opinión, lo ideal, hay casas rurales preciosas, con encanto y, lo mejor, con gente que te trata como si fueras de la familia, ¡me encantan las casas rurales! Y con chimenea, ¡para el invierno! O si eres más de "lujo", hay hoteles boutique, pero pocos, ¡y que no se masifique! ¡Y ojo! Si buscas algo moderno y minimalista, quizás no sea tu sitio. Aquí se busca la autenticidad, lo “casero”. Eso sí, wifi suele haber (menos mal, aunque a veces es mejor desconectar).
¡Maldito internet! ¿Qué tal el tema del wifi y la cobertura de datos, que soy adicto a las redes sociales?
¡Ay! Lo entiendo, yo también soy un poco… dependiente (es broma, ¡soy MUY dependiente!). A ver… en el pueblo, generalmente, el wifi suele ser decente. En las casas rurales, depende de la suerte, a veces es un milagro, a veces es…¡mejor desconectar! Cobertura de datos… digamos que no es la mejor del mundo. A veces, te sientes como explorador en la época de Colón. Pero, ¿sabes qué? Es liberador. Aunque, bueno, para subir fotos de Instagram, a veces hay que buscar el "punto estratégico". ¡Pero es parte de la aventura! Además, ¿quién necesita TikTok cuando tienes paisajes increíbles para contemplar? (Dice el que revisa el móvil cada cinco minutos).
¿Y la gente? ¿Son simpáticos? ¿O les cuesta soltarse, como pasa en algunos sitios de España?
¡Ah, la gente! Los gallegos... ¡son lo mejor! Son gente sencilla, hospitalaria, que te abre las puertas de sus casas y de sus corazones (literalmente). Al principio, pueden parecer un poco… reservados, pero en cuanto te ven aparecer por el bar, con la sonrisa a punto, ¡son un encanto! Recuerdo una vez, en un bar, que me contaron la historia del pueblo, que si el cura, que si la feria… ¡y no entendí nada! Pero me reí un montón. Y te invitan a todo, ¡te tratan como un rey! Eso sí, prepárate para el gallego, que a veces es un poco (o mucho) diferente al castellano, ¡pero es parte del encanto!
Vale, la comida…¡habías mencionado la comida! ¿Qué debo probar?
¡Madre de Dios, la comida! ¡Lo más importante! Empecemos con el pulpo a la gallega. No te lo puedes perder. Es obligatorio. ¡Obligatorio! Después, la empanada gallega, rellena de lo que sea, pero que sea gallega. El lacón con grelos… ¡uf! ¡Qué cosa más rica! Un plato que te dejará sin habla (por el sabor, no por otra cosa). Y el marisco… ¡todo! Centollos, nécoras, almejas… ¡es el paraíso! Y, por supuesto, no te puedes ir sin probar el vino Albariño. Un vino blanco fresco y afrutado que es perfecto para acompañar todo. Y los postres… ¡ay, los postres! Tarta de Santiago, filloas… ¡un festival! Y no olvides el queso, ¡el queso siempre es bueno!
¿Y el clima? ¿Siempre llueve?
¡Ja, la pregunta del millón! Sí, en Galicia llueve. ¡Pero no siempre! Dicen que el sol se esconde, pero vuelve. En verano, hace calor (relativo, no esperes un calor asfixiante, es más… agradable). En primavera y otoño, el clima es templado y perfecto para hacer senderismo. Y en invierno… ¡prepárate para la lluvia! Pero, ¿sabes qué? La lluvia también tiene su encanto. El paisaje se vuelve más verde, más exuberante. Y las terrazas con chimenea son… ¡la gloria bendita! Lleva un paraguas, un chubasquero, botas de agua… y ¡a disfrutar! La lluvia, en Galicia, es parte del paisaje y, a veces, ¡hasta se agradece!
